1. Do you have a fixed fee? What services does your fee include?

 We handle everything – from finding suitable suppliers, managing tooling, organizing samples, setting up production, quality control and shipping. All of this is included in our quoted price. Over and above that, you pay for products you order and the tooling you own. That’s it.

2. Can you provide us with a sample for testing?

 Yes, of course our vendors always do the first round of sampling absolutely free of cost. We work closely with to ensure that all sampling parameters are met and the sample is made to perfection. Our vendors have various sampling capabilities from hand made samples ranging to rapid prototyping machinery and CNC routing. Our sampling lead times range from 14 days to 21 days depending on type of product that needs to be sampled.

3. What regulations should I be aware of?

Every country has its own regulations, ranging from financial to environmental.

I specifically mentioned environmental, as this area has come under a lot of scrutiny lately. Many factories worldwide have been closed by governments for failing to meet environmental regulations.

4. What business terms are right for me?

If you are used to sourcing locally, your business terms will differ from international business terms. Be aware the different INCOTERMS (FOB, CIF, EX WORKS, etc.), and payment options (Letter of Credit, Deposits with balance payments, etc.). Ensure you decide which works best for you in advance.

 

5. How do I deal with quality control? How do you intend to manage your quality standards when the supplier is thousands of kilometres away?

We make sure that you know your product’s quality standards well in advance. This sounds obvious as well. However, it is quite common for new buyers, to not know their quality standard or industry standards. The usual reason for this is that when sourcing locally, they can physically see the product with relative ease whenever they want, the local supplier is aware of the standards and will meet them automatically. Also, recourse for defective product is far easier if you are producing locally.

If you use a trading company for your foreign order, ensure that you discuss quality control with them. A good trading company must have quality controllers / inspectors, who visit suppliers regularly.

 

6. What Is the difference between Banyantreesourcing and other sourcing Agency?

7. Can I Visit the factory in India?

Absolutely. Visiting the India factory can be beneficial and interesting, but it is by no means required. We have some customers that visit the factories annually. We have other customers that have never stepped foot in India..

If you need to come to India to visit the factories or you want to attend the IHGF fair in Noida, we will accompany you and arrange everything, such as transportation, accommodation, etc. Make it as convenience as it is for you!.

8. How Quality Control Handled?

This process begins early on as we collect information for the RFQ, “Request for Quotation”. And for the potential suppliers, we will arrange factory audit to check their production capability, factory scale, QC standard, ensure that they are able to produce your products as per requirements.

During the production run, our QC team will check to see that these standards have been met and will return a pass/fail report with digital photos at each point of the inspection standard representing the completion of that point. For more details, you can check our Quality Inspection.

 

9. . What if my order are only small quantities and Cannot meet the MOQ?

Most of our clients are Small and Medium-Sized enterprises, we aim to bring more competitiveness and flexibility to their business, so the products we source are without MOQ issue (or with reasonable MOQ that is acceptable). BanyanTree sourcing have worked with many suppliers in lighting field and they can support us with high quality products but do not require big quantity.

 

10. 10. Is it cheaper for me to buy from factories myself rather than use Banyantreesourcing?

Not necessarily. Communication with the factories yourself about your requirement will be time consuming, especially when you have to deal with several factories for different products. And when it is talking with a factory who speaks poor English, it is more annoying. Not to mention that you have to coordinate with forwarder/courier and factory to plan the shipment
